Made our way to the lounge and they were only just setting up the snacks and drinks - but when they did we made the most of them. No champagne this time just Australian sparkling - was OK though. Watched a film on my ipod and finally the flight was called at 1530. When we got to the gate the priority boarding was clearly marked although no one had boarded. Business and families went on first which was fine but we all boarded via one jetway on the front door of 777 - so everyone turned right. Last time they boarded y before calling j. So while we were sat sipping champagne, proper stuff, the peasants all filed by. Somewhat takes away from exclusivity. Although we were in 1J and K so for rest of flight almost seemed like we were in a private jet.
Rather late taking off - big queue - but were finally airbourne at 1615. Lunch was served - very nice. Satay, followed by starter with breads, mains served plated individually. Order taken earlier. As were pudding and cheeses. Coffee and tea in mugs.
After lunch settled down to watch TV and soon enough light snack was served prior to landing. Pie and salad. Perfectly fine. Was worried would be hungry but to be honest lunch was huge and only really ate the pie out of curiosity - didn't really need it.
The seatbelt sign seemed to be on for most of the flight. Rather a lot of turbulence from north Aus all the way to Singapore. Not too bothered as the crew let people use the toilets - as it was not too rough. Just enough to make the bubbles slop around in the glass but not enough to spill them [:D].
On arrival in KL we used the express lane and were through immigration in seconds and were met by some 4 guys with my name on a sheet as we had booked VIP service to the city. Bags were taken off carousel for us and we were taken down to the train and escorted all the way to KL Sentral and put into a limo transfer to hotel. All for the princely sum of $40 (for both of us).
Now settled into the Traders for a few days before heading off to Langkawi.
Happy Christmas to all.
