As we normally fly with Virgin, I have no idea which lounge to go in. Apparently there are three to choose from in T5.

Any info on the Miami lounge?[:I]

Any info would be much appreciated.
I've managed to get my seats on the upper deck, row 62 AB, JK, on the way out, and row 63 for the return.[:D]

We are staying 2 nighs in Miami, on Sunny Isles Beach, has anyone any suggestions for things to do or see in the short time we are there.

Thank you
Kaz

You have access to the terraces at T5, either north or south at T5 Main or the T5B mini lounge. I would go for the main terraces at the south end of T5 for the bulk of the time, its better than North. You can then move to T5B just before departure (assuming you'll fly form B of course with is pretty likely with Miami).

My understanding is that the Miami lounge is the same one as Virgin use (with the exception that they let you have showers if you're with BA..). I only know this as I remember ribbing the lady from BA early this year whilst in there about them not letting me use the showers - she declared that that's why I should fly BA next time to which I responded that there's no bar on their planes.. (id's had a few wines by that point..).

T5 has three type of Lounges - Galleries, First and Concord.
If you are flying Club and are not Gold or above then you can use Galleries and there are three of those - see here:

You may also use the Elemis Spa - and there are two of those.

You may also use Arivals when you come back.

In Miami there is a lounge which you mau use (BA First and VS Upper/Gold have use of a smaller one but connected to the large main one). Use of showers are allowed but accrue a charge.

MR Hackney Guy, you are correct, it is Galleries, not Terraces - I'm stuck in T4 language.

I wanst aware the Miami lounge was for BA First only, it wasn't that impressive apart from having a random collection of b-list celebs the last time I was there. ..

I would head for the South Galleries(Business/Silver lounge)1st, then onto the 5B galleries if you are departing from T5B.The Spa at B is usually quieter than the main one in any case ask for a treatment as soon as you arrive.Remember there is champagne on request at all 3 Galleries Lounges.

Thanks everyone, just to be a pain, what do you recommend in the spa, there's going to be me, (female) 1 daughter 1 son and him indoors. I got to leave one daughter behind this year as she can't get the time off work. Megan is looking after Lauren's pup and her boyfriend is coming down from Northampton to stay for the three weeks, so we don't have to put him in a kennel. Blimey talk about waffle on - I only meant to ask about the spa.

I love the massage chairs - in the privacy of your own curtained area [:I][:w]

THis is the list of treatments. Personally I'm a sucker for any form of neck/scalp/back massage as I always find that I tense up when travelling.

Note that the B satellite terminal doesnt have the fold up massage chair, only the electronic chair, so if you want a proper hands on, sit down massage you should do this is the North or South lounge(s).

Thanks,
Sarah

And they used to do real hands on 45 minute massages at the old MB T1/T4 spas.Don't like the torture chairs at all.

They being Molton Brown and NOT Elemis who own the T5 Spas

I did put MB in my original post.Elemis nor did MB own the spas they just manage them, Elemis are 2 years into a 5 year contract. Most of the therapists didn't change with the switch over from MB to Elemis just 'retrained'.BA decided on shorter treatment times and massage chairs to process more PAX.
