After a very successful day of shooting the protests and a few pints with fellow photographers, it was time to fly back. (if any of you want to see what I shot, message me and I'll send you the link). Took the AirCoach from O'Connell St back to the airport. Feeling like a zombie after having not slept in over 40 hours, with a 14 hour shooting day in the middle of it all, I made my way bleary eyed to the check in desks. My boarding pass was torn and soaked from the rain, since water got into my camera bag, but luckily they did not may me pay the ridiculous £40 to reprint it. Went through security extremely quickly and was airside less than 10 minutes from checkin.

Went through duty free, but not much point in buying anything as I was heading back to London. I did buy two shot glasses, though. (I collect one or two from every city I visit).

Again paid extra for priority boarding, but not necessary since the plane was at most half full. I got seat 6A and while someone else was in 6C, the middle seat was free, which was nice. Take off was on time, and so was landing. I fell asleep on the plane and woke up just before touchdown into a very, very foggy Stansted. So foggy in fact, you could not see past the edge of the runway. Since I was arriving from Ireland, I didn't have to go through passport control and was quickly on the coach back to Victoria Station. All in all, a successful trip. Not exactly a relaxing flight because of all the ads and announcements, but what do you want for £103.00 return booked three days in advance?

Were you lucky enough then to hear that ridiculous on-time landing bugle fanfare thing over the PA system?

Ahh yes I was, bugle and all...twice!

Very annoying, especially with the quench your thirst ads. But what do you want for a stupidly cheap flight?
