Yes, thats the new version. My Eee connects fine to our home wireless but i havent connected it anywhere externally yet to find out. Maybe we can do a field test while we are in Manchester [:D]
One moot point (that i may be able to change but need to look into it) is that the WiFi insnt enabled automatically. You have to physically got into Wireless Network Connections and click 'enable' each time you want to connect. I assume its to stop battery wastage but its a pain when i am at home and have to keep reconnecting each time i use it. Sometimes it wipes out my WEP key as well. But, as its running Linux i am sure there is just a file i need to edit to stop that from happening.
