VA's Podcasts

Happy Birthday to me yesterday... 21 again [}:)]

Hubby bought me an Ipod photo/video so have been busy filling it up with music.
Have ony used up 3gb so far, and have copied over at least 50 albums.
Was thinking about putting VA's Dubai podcast on it.
Has anyone used any of the destination podcasts.. are they useful ?

Have also downloaded 2 of the free Ricky Gervais audio shows [:p]

Any other recommendations from anyone else with an Ipod ?
Does anyone know of where I can download free TV shows ?

IMHO the iPod is the single best 'gadget' ever invented.

The whole thing about VS podcasting has been discussed here and here. Albeit both threads are quite old.

ISTBC, but I think the (legal) downloading of TV shows for the iPod is still limited to the US, where a lot of NBC shows are available.

No a recommendation, but The Ricky Gervais podcasts? Utter tosh - it sounded like two guys picking on their slightly introspective hanger on. Ricky Gervais cackling is immensely irritating, he sounds like a half-witch (nearly typed half-wit, if the cap fits and all...).

I loved The Office and Extras, but this podcast is self serving piffle.

Now they are charging for it as well! I sincerely hope they traffic figures go down from "the most downloaded podcast" to thre men and a dog. And given the production costs of this thing - I know hosting the site and all, much of that cash will still go straight into their pockets. It' like watching the Saturday night "talent" sing, skate, dance, be popular, be unpopular, pick a Song for Europe, nations favourite yadda yadda yadda. All of that cash goes straight into someone else's pocket. It is usually Simon Cowell, or the guy who runs Endomol. OK, once in a while its for chariddy (mate), but again, how much goes to the Telecoms provider, and how much of their extra profit goes to the charity.
