I don't think Bose encourage deals. Best bet is find someone heading to the US and ask them to get a pair for you. QC3's are about $350 compared to £275.

After having used both models, I prefer my BOSE QC2 over QC3. They are more comfortable for me to wear and fitting over the ear give a much better noise cancelling performance (probably one reason why they are much more expensive).

I agree with Darren - buy them in the USA or ask someone to get them for you when they go (as long as it doesn't put them over their duty free limit !!)

Umm - QC2's are not more expensive than QC3's. Not sure who ripped you off there... [;)]

QC2 = £225/$299
QC3 = £275/$349

QC3s bought in the UK come with a spare battery and travel charger. The US ones don't, making the price about the same if you bought them separately.

Yeah - my QC2 came with optional extention cable and plugs which is prob why they cost me more then QC3 in the store. Never the less the quality of QC2 outweighs that of QC3 IMHO so on quality alone it was a no brainer for me.

Surely just buying them puts them over the DF limit?

Technically if you buy goods duty/vat free when departing the uk (as opposed to the equivalent discount they offer when taking a domestic or EU flight), are you supposed to count said item on your return to the UK as part of your allowance?

I've not tried the QC3s yet but my QC2s sometimes make my ears feel quite hot and stuffy after even a short time of wearing them - or maybe thats just cos I always have steam coming out of my ears..

I have both. For me at least, QC2's work better, QC3's more comfortable for longer periods. Both over priced for what they do - better value to be had elsewhere.
