Ok, so my phone has windows mobile 5.0 on it, I am looking for a browser or instructions on how to use the mobile version of IE this one has, to download stuff from the net to the storage on the phone.

As far as I can see IE can't do it, I havea smart phone so the mobile version of firefox is no good and being the cheap Scrooge I am I don't want to shell out $$$ for the mobile version of Opera....HELP !

I thought there was a free version of Opera? I have it on my N95 and it's OK.

I'm lost Dave - what exactly are you trying to download and use on the phone? It is possible to download content and save it to the local storage devices.

What would you be trying to download on your PDA? Streaming video, perhaps?

On my mobile 5.0 IE, when I click on a download, it gives me the option to 'save as'. Not sure it the smartphone version works the same though
