Arrivals at Gatwick

I think it has been covered elsewhere, but can anyone give me info on the Arrivals facilities at Gatwick if we are traveling Upper?

Also has anyone any experience of them they could share please ?

ta for that but I think you will find that's just at Heathrow - from what I remember, Gatwick is a shared facility with someone else and isn't anything like that

True, those details relate to the Revivals lounge at Heathrow.

I'm having difficulty findng the info on what's available at Gatwick on the VS site, but take at look at this thread for more details. It's not as well appointed as Virgin's lounge at LHR, but pleasant all the same.

Whilst I haven't used it I am convinced I have see a VS Revivals desk in the baggage claim at LGW. I know the BA one is in the Hotel opposite and not up to much.

Well it is US Airways' lounge shared with VS.

Well, this is quite true - though I think there's still some confusion on the US Airways side (mainly as to whether it's just UC or FC Au as well) given that it's a new-ish arrangement.

It's a nice lounge, if a tad on the small side ("compact" I think estate agents would call it ). Done out with a fair bit of wood, a la traditional 1st class stylee, and the showers look really nice (didn't get much time to try them out today though). Non-smoking throughout, but if you ask nicely, the lovely lady on reception will open the doors outside and you can smoke out there

Tea/coffee/soft drinks/juices available (and it looked like some alcohol too), along with a selection of fruit/nuts/biscuits - but no hot food. Sky News on a nice plasma screen at the end.

BTW, be warned folks, the arrivals lounge closes at 12noon (at least, it did today!).

Anyway, it's just nice to have some decent facilities to get into on arrival at LGW

I used in back in September.

It is a realtively small lounge with comfy chairs a plasma TV and behind the scenes as it were, 5or 6 shower cubilcles. There are nice fluffy towels, shampoo etc and a hair dryer. There is a facilty to have your clothes pressed - you just handg them in the container in the door, press a call button and they are collected from the container (from the outside[:w]).

Small selction of snacks with jiuce and coffee etc.

I seem to recall there was some bubbly on offer.
