I have a big trip to Shanghai coming up in September (Out 23rd Sep VS250, Ret 29th Sep VS251), with 4 G class seats booked (2 Mileage, and 2 upgraded Ls)

Expertflyer is showing that the outbound flight has just 2 Economy seats sold, none in PE, and our 4 are the only UC ! The return is a bit healthier, although still no-one else in UC.

Doing a dummy booking on the VA website is showing some strange results as well. Full-fare flights are available as normal, but discounted economy (with saturday night stay etc) seems to indicate it's not a daily service.

What are the chances of this service being reduced or merged, or even cancelled ? It's going to be a huge pain for me if it changes.

Any advice would be much appreciated , thanks :)

It looks to me like they are not selling the reduced fares, just the more expensive or flexible.

Thanks,
Sarah

How are you seeing how many seats are sold ?
Could someone post the loading for this flight please.

From the seat map, although I guess that doesn't reflect all seats sold.

Seat map only shows allocated seats out of the 60% available, not sold, and I have found EF isnt wholly reliable in that aspect. The flight out is wide open but I seriously would not worry.

Thanks,
Sarah

oh ok, yeah don't trust that as a judge of loads, though looking at the outbound it is wide open.

You also need to see what the load is like on 251, however, this flight is still a long ways off, still plenty of time to fill the plane.
