I have just submitted all the boarding passes etc for return flights to Bali via Kuala Lumpur with Malaysia Airlines as they have not been claimed automatically by VS.

Can anyone tell me how long the manual claim process takes before the miles will appear in my account.[?]

From my experience it's been six or so weeks (that was with Continental)

I've heard that it's got quicker, but I haven't had to put in a claim recently, so I can't comment

Suggest follow up with phone call to FC.. has been hit-miss on timescales,
SQ appearred to be quick once originally logged via phone then documents sent through.
as Pete mentions, Continental have taken nearly 2 mths for me in the past.

Make sure you still have your boarding pass stubs in case you need to make a claim

Is there a time limit for claiming missing miles?[:I]

I traveled 1st Class on US Airways BWI-PSP-BWI in March (to escape a holiday gone wrong - way, way wrong![:#]) connecting with BWI-JFK-LHR in VS UC but never got any miles showing for the BWI-PSP-BWI legs.
I still have my boarding cards...[|)] Is it worth me submitting them?

VS FAQs state :

--------
As a Flying Club member, you can claim missing miles with Virgin Atlantic as well as for qualifying activity with our airline partners, with our hotels, car rental and service partners up to six months from the date of activity. Miles will only be credited to your account after your flights or activity have been completed. Please allow 30 days for partner miles to be credited to your account. Your miles should appear in your account within 28 days of sending your claim missing miles form.

----------

So it looks like your still in the time limit
