ONLINE CHECK IN

For the second time in three months it won't allow me to check in online! Its soooo annoying when they have such a system that when it works is brilliant but now I have to arrive at Manchester Airport early because of there dodgy online system!!

It's a shame you haven't managed to use OLCI. It may be that you were just unfortunate to be picked out at random for a second time for security reasons.

It can just happen like that but is frustrating none the less.

It is unlikely to be Virgin's security checks. Chances are your name is on the TSA watchlist (assuming you are travelling to the States) It has happened to me so I can sympathise! After years of travelling with no problems I was stopped from using online check in twicce and checking in at both ends involved hushed phone calls by the agent. Virgin have told me to contact TRIP
http://www.dhs.gov/files/programs/gc_1169676919316.shtm to try and get my details added as being OK (they don't remove names, just add details of people that they aren't looking for if that makes sense??) Be warned that my last trip I was stopped from boarding and taken for extra security checks so be prepared!

PS I don't have a common name and have never been involved in terrorist activities!!!!

GREAT!! Two kids and a load of hassle! They said when I rang it was because the seat plan wasn't available! I hope its my pal at Virgin playing tricks and nothing else!

We went out to Florida in MArch with 20 guys and 19 could check in online and one of our friends with an ethnic name couldn't. Whilst queuing at Manchester the Security shouted out heres ***** he's on high security alert! He had a nightmare in US.
