Hi,

We have booked UCS returns in March with Virgin. I have looked on the BA website today ( World Club Sale ) and can get the same dates for over 1300.00 cheaper for the 3 of us. We have only paid a 300.00 deposit at the moment.

My question is ? Are BA as good as Virgin in Club class, I have read some reports that it is not as private as Virgin and the service is not as good, but 1000.00 saving after losing my deposit, is a big chunk of money to spend in Orlando!!

Any advice opinions would be appreciated.

There's nothing wrong with the BA product, and for that much saving, I'd probably go with BA. I'm trying BA out again in March as it was so much cheaper. The only downside for me is the seat selection process. If I was travelling with someone else I wouldn't mind so much as I would at least know someone at one side of me.

There are pros and cons of both BA and VS, you just need to decide what's more important to you.

We're in the same boat as we usually travel UC from Manchester to MCO. It does mean flying from Gatwick which is a pain from here, but at almost 1000 saving for the 2 of us I am looking into it.[:D]

I like BA Club, the only downside you might have is that unless you have BAEC status you wont be able to pre-request your seat as you can with VS, you'll have to wait till T-24 to select your seats at OLCI. There is also the lack of bar onboard, and it does feel like there are a lot of seats in Club on the 777 and downstairs on the 747, but I think the food and service on BA often make up for these potential drawbacks.

1000 is a lot of money to save on the flights. Personally I'd be looking at the cheaper carrier.

Thanks,
Sarah

with the hit and miss VS service, I'd opt for the cheaper option. A number of years ago i'd have paid a premium to fly VS, but not anymore!
