I made a purchase on the 10/06. The actual value points were posted to my Flying Club account on the 08/07 and the 500 miles were posted on the 11/07.

Both amounts have never been shown in my Flying Club shopping history [?]

Well well well. I ordered an iMac via the Virgin link, and thanks to Apple Customer Service being rubbish, cancelled the order a week later.

Today, the miles appeared in my account, as the order was cancelled by telephone maybe?

I will be emailing FC to remove them.

I placed an order back in early July, and despite checking regularly the orders have never shown up in my shopping history.[:(] Today is the 40th day so was just about to make the missing miles claim, logged into FC and saw my miles had increased. Checked the account and exaclty 39 days after the transaction the miles and the bonus have been creditied. [y]

But still the orders do not show in my shopping history.[:?]

Well I have a positive and a negative to report.

The positive, it only took 2 weeks for my 500 mile bonus to show up [y]

The negative, if you buy travel product, i.e flights through this, the miles will not show up until after you travel.... So for me I booked our flights to MIA in Oct through Expedia back in July, we don't travel till 94 days later, meaning that I am outside the window to claim missing miles.

Now honestly, the amount of miles involved, I don't care, but if someone were to book a big vacation then it could add up.

I have a couple of positives.

I purchased just under 3k woth of TV's for a friend thru the Virgin Link at one of the partners and less than 2 weeks later I have just over 9k of miles credited to my acount!

Also bought some stuff on eBay and those miles are thru already too!

Very pleased.

Well the miles have been credited, totally the wrong amount, but it's more than I was owed, so all is good with the world [y]

The amazing thing to me was the email was written by someone and not your standard boiler plate response and the fact that it only took two emails to fix.

Just checking back on my shopping history and noticed a reservation made through Hotels.com (who have used numerous times and always find the best rate with) totalling 430, has in fact been credited to the amount of 715.33 and awarded 4xFC, so 2,862 miles. Checked my online statement to make sure they havent over charged me and just 430 has gone through. Am in process of making couple more reservations through them and will be intrigued to see how much they credit to my account. Will keep you all posted

Kinda feel should keep quiet on this one incase FC deduct the extra I've received, but feel V-Flyers should look out for this as inessence given me 6.6x miles my purchase

Instances like this have been noted and posted before. Although on those occasions the posters where honest and handed back the erroneously awarded miles.

Honesty is THE best policy [y]

HG usually I would agree with you, but given most of us would feel we pay the same money with VA but the level of service has declined then the occasional alternative perk should be gratefully accepted

Given a few of my purchases with Play.com, Ebay and IWOOT don't appear to have shown I'll take this as compensation [:D]

The choice is yours.

However, if/when they DO find out I hope you will not complain on here that your account has been suspended and ALL your miles forfitted as per the T&C's of being FC member.

I have not claimed for extra mileage, they have been awarded by FC. So to suspend and forfeit my FC miles would be a breach of T&C by them not me. I would accept them claiming the excess back from me but anything more than that would be unfair

Thanks

I've just been to the site and I've had not issues.

The link was where I expected it to right of your name above the flying club logo and says 'my shopping history' on the 'shop.virgin-atlantic.com' site

Play doesn't have Amex listed as a valid card for them.
