Yes, you don't have to print your own boarding pass and even if you do, you can still get a proper one from check-in.

Thanks :) So I guess OLCI is just to ensure your seat selection is honoured...or should I say a better chance to being honoured :)

Always. Guarantees my seat selection, confirms the flight is going, makes me feel less stressed! Always print boarding pass too because if I get delayed going to the airport, I can go straight through the magic elevator to departures without having to see a human being at all. Ok sometimes home-printed boarding passes don't work on the scanner going into the private channel but you can always hold them up to the camera and they'll let you through.
