Hi

just had a trip to Vegas given to me for Christmas and wanted to know if I am able to book entry into the clubhouse at gatwick.

Our flights are in PE.

In the past when booking with VH this has been ok but this time it's flights only so not sure if we can still get into the lounge ?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks
Andy

I would call VH. The T&C's state that you need to book the lounge when you book your holiday but you could claim ignorance and ask if they will add the access on? You can also have access to the V.Room if you are travelling with VH.

Thanks,
Sarah

thanks. My wife tried to book it at the time of booking the flights but was told she couldn't and that she was lying when saying that shevhad done this before !

Flights were booked through VA not VH so assume calling VH is not going to help is it ?

I am afraid so[:#]

Looks like you may have to rely on the slim chance of another V-Flyer being in the Gatwick Clubhouse on the same day

It has been a much discussed anomaly on here in the past, that economy passengers who book through VH can buy Clubhouse access, but PE passengers who book through VS, can't. [n]

It may well be worth asking on the day if you can pay for access. I have done this at LHR recently - it seems it is is purely down to capacity, both current and projected. I also think FC status helps, but it doesn't do any harm to ask.

Now that they don't allow UC pax to pre-book in the spa, you probably stand as much chance of getting an appointment with paid entry as well.

Ah sorry Andy, as Nick states, the only way to buy Clubhouse access from VH is to book your travel with VH. If you book with VS direct you cant buy access to the Clubhouse, which is why your wife was told that she could not - don't forget that VH and VS are seperate companies. Sometimes you can buy access on the day at the aiport from check-in, and it doesnt hurt to ask, but there is no formal offering.

Check the itinerary forum to see if any V-Flyers are travelling on the same day as you.

Thanks,
Sarah

Thanks for all your replies. Looks like we will have to try on the day then ! Does seem strange that VH passengers can book and those booking in a higher class with VS cannot but that's life.

Sorry if this is a daft question but what would the benefit be if another v-flyer was in gatwick on the same day ?

Thanks

If there was another v-flyer who was flying in UC or was a Gold member in LGW on that date he/she could invite you as a guest into the Clubhouse (always assuming that person wasn't already bringing a guest in)
