Hie guys
Hve just bought our PE tickets to MCO on 14/06/10. Chose seats 79 A & C but not sure which are better 79 A&C or 80 H&K? Have looked on the seat ratings and they seem to have similar reviews but some reviews mention that row 80 has even more privacy because the is noone alongside? What are people's experiences of these seats? I know there is a possibility of not getting our meal choices but i think the positives outweigh the negatives and as an informed v-flyer i will kick up a fuss and ask for the FSM if they try to fob us off with an economy meal.

80 H & K in my opinion for the privacy, followed by first off the upper deck when arriving at your destination. Some like 79A&C for the side table on seat 79 C.

Either way you'll be fine.

If you travel with a lot of stuff and like to drink plenty (water [:D] ) you'll love 79c - I was in it recently and the side table was really useful.

Having sampled both, I would say 79 A & C. Yes 80 has slightly more privacy but you are closer to the galley and there can be quite a bit of noise from the flight attendents chatting, making drinks etc. 79 also feels like you have slightly more legroom than the std PE seat and you also have 2 full windows to look out of. There is also an extra shelf against the righthand seat for the 79C passenger to put drinks and stuff on.

Hope this helps

I actually prefer row 75, purely for the extra leg room. Okay, you can only get these at the airport but they are really good seats if you want to sleep when for me leg room is key.

H/K not J/K.

The best seats IMO on the Upper Deck are the exit rows, bulkhead rows and then 79AC - that side table is great!

We've always got 80 H&K until this year when we managed to nab 79 A & C inbound but no such luck outbound - still in the bubble but 79 H & K

Seeing as our flight isn't until August, is there a likelihood that more outbound options could become available?

We've got 80 H&K going out from MAN to MCO in April but could only get 79 H&K on our return in May. I will be taking my netbook & try to get 75 A&C for our return when we do OLCI.

Katie - Row 75 is an exit row, so will only become available at the airport, and not at OLCI stage.

Thanks Neil - I think I meant 74 A&C - the ones in front of the exit seats which, I think, are greyed out for Virgin Holidays passengers. My husband prefers the exit seats but I find the one next to the door very cold :) We have been moved to the exit seats in the past from our requested seats.

When I used to fly PE ( [:#] ) I'd always go for the last row on the upper deck with the side table. I find the exit row window arrangement really poor, and chilly. Whereas the last row has no one pulling your seat to stand up (why do people do that?) and, as said, the table is very useful!
