ESTA number

Hi,

Quick daft question if you don't mind.

Do we need to apply for new ESTA numbers for our trip to New York in late July? (On our last trip to the states we weren't even asked for them.)

Hello and welcome...

How long ago did you get them - they expire after 2 years from initial application.

Its rare that you get asked about it - its an electronic system so check-in will see it on their system.

Depends when your last trip to the US was and if your two year ESTA will still be active when you go in July.

You will need to reapply IF

You had a new passport issued since your last trip, or

Your next trip is more than two years since your last.

They prefer it if you update your flight / accomodation details but its not essential.

It's only about 7 months ago, so no need to renew then.

If anyone wants to check on there ESTA,they can with the above link all you need is your Esta number,Date of birth and Passport number to check or update,just scroll down the page and fill in the appropriate form,i hope this helps anyone in any doubt....
