Just arrived in to the CH and from today they are now offering an 'enhanced' treatment range.

Basically it is now the same as the LGW CH treatments, some treatments are still free, but the longer and more extensive treatments you now have to pay for.

On the good news front, we have both managed to get treatments, so no problem with the walk up service.

Thanks Neil - I would still prefer to book in advance even if there is a cost attached to the service and know that a treatment will be available, but glad to hear it has worked for you.

Enjoy the CH and have a great flight and holiday. y)

I hope I'll be as lucky as you on Saturday. Is their charged for service listing available online yet ?

Nothing on the LHR CH page on the VS site, although here is the LGW page which has prices etc on it and the LHR one is going to be the same.

The charging has literally only started today, they are handing out flyers at the entrance to the CH and explaining about it all.

Good luck - I'll be popping in a few hours after you for VS17 and hoping for the same.

Neil

thanks for providing this "hot off the press" info. Once again V- Flyer proves it is an excellent open source

Hope the new rule did not detract too much from your long awaited CH visit

Would be interesting to see the menu of what's chargeable.

Must admit, I've often thought it a little odd that one person can have a 15 min treatment and the next a 90 min treatment, which kind of hogs the availability from others. If this new system means more people get free treatments but you can still opt for a longer session if you want to pay for it, then maybe it's not as bad as my initial reaction assumed. Time will tell, I guess.

Drinks vouchers (two only per passenger -extra vouchers available to purchase from the concierge ) to be redeemed at the walk up bar ?

Personally I think this stinks but I did predict this back last year v( v(

If people book "extra time" hair treatments or "enhanced" spa services there will be less "complimentary" slots available.

I fear you are right as I don't see how you can adequately staff to ensure the majority get at least a complimentary treatment if without notice the therapists can be booked for a much longer paid treatment.

A truely miffed DL has just got off the phone to Premier. After a LONG time on hold waiting to be answered the chap who took my call (who didn't identify himself) declared he knew nothing about the changes and put me on hold. Eventually he returned and said "yes- new enhanced services" . When I voiced my concerns about limited availability of "complimentary " treatments if people book "enhanced" he countered with "they've increased the staff to deal with this" . Yeah, right. We'll see three weeks on Friday then...... :(!
Incidentally Penny he was unable to tell me at what point the £15 per 15 mins kicked in in Bumble and Bumble as the complimentary is for a trim (which is not the same in my book as a cut :(! )and does not seem to include a dry or a wash and rough dry (whatever that is ?| ).

Just to report that I'm currently sat in the LHR CH and had no problem booking a slot for a Shoulder/Neck Massage which is still complimentary. But I was here before most other people turned up this evening :)

Interesting, the other half had the comp shave on Wednesday and said it was the same as the one he has been having for the past couple of years using a Mach 3. We were told it was just a proper cut throat shave that was chargable.
