New IFE controllers

Hi all!

I did a search and couldn't find anything about them, so:

I have noticed in a few recent pics that the IFE controllers have been replaced. (or am I imagining it :s)

Is this across the whole fleet? (mainly interested in LHR fleet though)

Are they any better, if so how?

On my trip to and from Tokyo in the past two weeks, I didn't notice that the handset was new, but then I wasn't really looking.

Will check on VS003 on Tuesday.

I think they are white though.

The IFE controllers in the armrests are still the same as they've always been.

Even in Upper Tinks?

I swear they used to be those black and grey contoured things...unless they are different on LHR/LGW fleet aircraft.

The ones in the rig at the Base are definatly White and different to those on the LHR planes.

Especially in Upper on the LHR fleet!!!

Having flown on the 343/346/744 in recent weeks, the IFE controllers are still the same in Upper as they've always been. They're the same grey/black handsets on the V-Port system as always.

As for LGW and the LHR 343's, the Odyessy handsets are cream/beige and fit in the armrests - again the same as normal.

Ah that would be where I was getting confused, I did think of that after posting.
Having never flown on anything but v:port that's all I'm used to.
