I have two reward flights booked in the next 9 months but when I log onto my FC account they don't show up. I can access them using the booking references so not really a problem, more me wondering whether this is a website glitch or is it normal for reward flights not to show up automatically?

It is a glitch, because it isn't linked to your FC number, it happens on normal bookings also if no FC is provided at the time of booking.

Thanks. I would have thought that, since they were booked on the VS website, they would have had the number. They managed to deduct the miles from the right accout :?

Just to satisfy my own sense of neatness ii) I'll give them a call to see if they can sort it out.

Just made a reward booking and same problem. Apparently ff number is attached but it's not showing when I log in to my booking.

I raised issue and asked IT team to investigate and add in my AU number so it appears online. Fingers crossed we can resolve this but looks like a common problem/bug.

VS changed the system a few years ago as a number of people where managing to claim miles on reward flights using the VS website.

You will also find that when you get your boarding card, your Flying Club number will show as 00500500500 as well.

If you ask Flying Club, they should be able to input your FC # in the correct field so you can view your bookings properly and see the correct number on your boarding card.

Just heard back from customer support. The reason reward flights don't show up is (as I was already told here) that they would otherwise earn me miles and that this would not be good (I paraphrase slightly!).

Must say that I don't understand the reasoning behind this, since other airlines seem to manage to differentiate between revenue and reward flights. But then there are a fair few things on the VS website that confuse me, so I'll just add this to the list.

However, at least they took the time to read my email properly and came up with something that didn't sound too much like a stock response. So credit there.
