Any tips, we have booked PE return from MAN to MCO,Nov 5. On booking I could only reserve row 82 A & C on return trip, Nov 27.Would love to use upper deck as we did last time. Have been told that outward trip seating map won't be available to select seating until 24h before at on-line check-in!!!
Any ideas folks?

It looks like the 60% limit for advance seat reqests has been reached and the remaining will only be released at OLCI (but its worth checking a few hours before it officially opens too as there seams to be a trend for some seats to be opened up then).

Welcome to the site.

As only 60% of the seats are available for pre selection then there really isn't much you can do now. At OLCI stage the remaining 40% apart from sit rows and bulk heads will become available (these are only available for allocation at the airport). It is worth checking a few hours before OLCI stage also, as it has been reported that other seats have opened up, although this isn't a confirmed system.

Thanks,
Neil

Thanks Neil, will give it a try a few hours before OLCI opens at circa 10.30 am. geben

Hope you manage to snag the upper deck geben - it is a totally different experience from PE downstairs. Oh and BTW, welcome to the site :)

Once within 48 hours of flight VS usually open up seats in rows 71 thru 74 which have not been taken up by Virgin Holidays customers who get priority selection upstairs. Also rows 70 and 75 are only available on the day. 70 is priority for pax with infants and 75 is the exit row.
Do not do the online check in with your current seats if you want to have every opportunity to get something upstairs. Once checked in VS seem reluctant to want to change anything.

That is not my experience at all. I have had no problem changing to other seats after I have done OLCI. Lots of other people have posted on here that they have done this as well. |:)

I've managed to change seats after OLCI too - even as late as at the check-in desk - with no probs :)
