Posting for the first time to ask a question regarding PE seating.

I'm traveling LAX-LHR-LAX early December in PE and wanted to ask opinions to see if it is worth getting to the airport early to get one of the bulkhead seats?

Also, are loads generally light early December and therefore an aisle seat in the center has a good chance of having an empty middle seat next to it?

Naturally want to get the best seat available!

Hi and welcome to V-Flyer.

What date and on which flight are you booked? With that information we will be able to help you better

Thanks Honey lamb.

I'm flying VS8 on Dec 4th and VS23 on Dec 12th.

Are the bulkhead seats a better option space wise than a regular PE seat too.

Welcome to V-Flyer :)

The bulk head row 18 (you are flying on a 346 both ways) does offer more legroom and are highly recommended. You also get a cushion to rest your feet on rather than those fixed metal foot rests the other PE seats have. The IFE screen is also movable as it's stored away between the seats.

Unlike economy seats, bulk head PE seats are also no narrower than other PE seats.

The middle section of the PE bulkhead row (18D, F & G) doesn't have sky cots, so VS should be able to offer these at check-in. The other seats in row 18 do have sky cots so will be reserved for families with babies.

They definitely are better if you need the legroom. I'm 6ft 4, and generally my knees touch the seat pocket in front with the complementarity bottle of water tucked in the pocket (so I generally loose that. )

On my last flight I had row 18, with my 4 year old next to me there was plenty of room. The extra space was extra useful when she needed the loo in the middle of dinner- there was plenty of space to pop her dinner & mine on the floor to get her out!! Another bonus of the extra space.!

Normally, on business trips I find these seats are gone early. I've only got them once before in PE.

So, in summary yes!I just flew back in 18k and it helps that you can put your feet up on the bulkhead would recommend A or K as the aisle seats do see quite a bit of traffic from the galley

Thanks for the feedback all, very prompt!

Sean, wouldn't A or K mean climbing over someone to get to the aisle or are PE legroom in bulkheads such that it isn't a problem?

It's really not a problem in the bulk head rows as you barely have to step over the person sat next to you due to the extra space.

Again, thanks for the quick replies.

Hopefully get to the airport soon enough to bag one of those seats or a seat with an unoccupied one next to it :)
