Hi guys and girls, I wonder if anyone can help me out.

Does anybody know why G-VWKD diverted to Vancouver (YYR) whilst operating VS19 to SFO on the 13th of this month??

Similarly, if anyone could tell me why G-VFOX diverted to Gatwick (LGW) whilst operating VS401 from DXB yesterday then i would be really greatful.

I look forward to hearing from you in advance :)

The VS19 was divertesd to Goose Bay not Vancouver (which is YVR)

We even had our own on-board v-flyer reporter

I do sometimes wonder - as a new poster the first question is about diversions, at a time when the media are focussing on this very subject, and when we know journos lurk on sites like this to write up verbatim or more crapally their stories.

So, glad you're not. Welcome, and enjoy!

I often ask the same questions which tend to arise from playing with their phone app... Just an unhealthy interest.

I would have always imagined the diversion number to be lower than it actually is. Only happened to me once - didn't help that something went tits up with the fuel dump and found ourselves stuck on the ground at BOS for four hours.
