Ok Thur morning is by first Upper Class flight. I will be arriving from Belfast T1 and need the quickest way to T3 and the club house. I have no idea about Heathrow so whats the quickest way to get from getting off at T1 to Club house.

I should be checked in for both flight in Belfast as there on the same booking. However I would love to get a purple boarding card :D any way of doing this?

If your bags are through checked you might as well use flight connections. A bit of a walk, a bus and security will take about half an hour unless you're unlucky. You will technically remain "airside" and will be herded to remain so.

You could go landside and walk between the terminals but then you need to go through full T3 security - although you will be able to use the fast track channel as you're flying UC. Even when I've had to collect bags at T1 and recheck in at T3 it's never taken more than an hour.

I think the consensus is to avoid flight connections and come back landside after disembarking and make your way to T3 using the underground walkways then re-check-in at VS and get your purple then use the private security channel.

Am assuming that your luggage will be checked right through so you wont have to bother with that whihc will speed up getting from T1 - T3.

Am going top BOS myself on Thursday from LCY via Zurich !

When you say re-check-in do you mean even though in checked in at Belfast go back up to the upper class checkin and get the boarding card? will they be happy enough to do that?

going landside & avoiding flight connections is definately the way to go. even though you're kept airside you have to go through security at flight connections & as it has no priority lane it can take a long time. as you're travelling UC with Virgin you get to use the dedicated UC desks & the private security channel which even with the walk between terminals is much quicker than flight connections - i've regularly made the trip from de-plane at T1 to the clubhouse in 20 minutes.

when you leave T1 ignore the flight conections sign & head through the doors to the baggage reclaim. exit on your left & head right to the T1 checkin area. over the far side of the hall to your right are lifts signposted to T3 & the underground station. its about a 10 minute walk through the tunnels & past the underground station - all clearly signposted. eventually you come up a small escalator to the plaza outside T3. the virgin checkin is through the doors to your left.

enjoy!

Always landside for me.
I can make it from airplane door to first glass of Clubhouse fizz in less than 20 mins - mind you its best not to get in my way when I have a target!

much like me then - climbing over the massed sheep in the T3 shopping & duty free area is the biggest challenge when i can almost smell my first bellini or redhead :D
