I used search and while there is plenty on Twilight check-in I couldn't find anything relevant to my question.

We are flying UC to BGI on 7/11 and staying overnight at the Hilton the night before. We intend to get rid of main luggage on the Monday afternoon via Twilight Check-in.

Is Twilight Check-in for all classes or is there a separate Twilight check-in for UC?

Hi Gazza

Twilight Check In is all one class - sometimes being in either PE or UC can throw them a bit, as they do not always have the relevant labels to hand :D

yes it can definitely be a scramble. you often find people with lots of luggage dumping it a day early which can l;ead to long q's

and i am afraid this monday we will be adding to that -Mrs FB is currently at 6 (large) cases !!!!!

That's a relief, I take back my crown - the T&C's clearly state all cases when moving country are necessary and I pride myself on taking seriously large amounts of completely unnecessary "just in case" luggage! Have a great trip and enjoy life in your new home.

I've found that if you arrive REALLY early e.g. as soon as it opens then there is no or minimal queue for twilight check-in...
or maybe I was just lucky.

Plus if you dump your bags early then you have time to get the GATEX into Victoria and see a show and dinner :)

Thanks for the replies.

It does seem a little strange that they don't offer dedictaed PE or UC Twilight check-in.

If the queues are horredous we'll give it a miss and come back in the morning and use the normal UC checkin.

swedey2k - Good suggestion but it won't work for us as we have our 3 year old with us. Given the almost complete absense of anywhere to eat landside at LGW it looks like dinner will be in the Hilton. :? :?

There is a frankie and benny's landside at LGW South Terminal if you fancy that (I think Virgin is South?) as we went there when we picked my brother up after his year working in Disney world (in the village which is up the lifts). There's also the village inn there which is apparently landside but I have never tried that.

Alternatively, last time we stayed in the Hilton we walked to a place which had various chain restaurants- Garfunkels, Pizza hut etc- I think it was in crawley. If you don't have a car with you, then you'd probably want to get a taxi with your three year old as it was quite a long walk. Or there are a few decent pubs in nearby villages- Ye Olde Six Bells in Horley is one I remember. again you'd need to get a taxi though, but its nicer than the hilton.
