With regards to learning from the ash crisis - don't forget that that affected ALL VS flights Worldwide, compared to the snow which has only affected the LGW operations.

Well I am now back in the UK. My TR will be posted tomorrow. Despite my positive talk at MCO when I posted earlier, I cannot believe what shambles I have experienced with VS this afternoon.

The MCO ground crew cannot be blamed, they were fantastic.

As you will see from the TR it has been a rather bad experience with clear lack of communication between VS departments and Swissport.

Put it this way, I am so narked off that I Would consider not stepping foot on another VS plane!

To be fair, when this first happened VS did keep passengers up to date as possible using SMS messages, emails, the website, twitter and Facebook.

Thats not correct. My details were up to date in the manage my booking page and have not heard a peep from VS via text or email. If I had been on a holiday where I was out of internet connectivity there is no way I would have known about last nights six hour delay on the 28.

I would guess that it's due to the fact that usually the inbound VS44 opperates the VS15, however today the VS44 is dues in at 17:01. My guess would be that Virgin would find it easier to cancel the flight till the next day than have to delay the knock-on effects of the rest of their opperations.

Speaking to MCO ground staff last night- if the 16 had operated tonight it would have been wide open with plenty of spare seats. I would imagine as with last night, they will have combined the 16 passengers onto the 28 and created a full flight. Last nights 28 was a full house.
