Having just spent half an hour waiting for my call to be put through on VH's 0844 customer services number (GRRRR) I was wondering whether anyone had an up-to-date non-premium landline number for cs?

Thanks y)

Hi Nick, Thanks. I have tried a couple of the numbers on the "say no" site but am getting the "all our operators are busy try later" message. I am not sure whether that is accurate or simply a blocking message to discourage people ringing on those alternatives. I guess that I will find out!!

Their call center is probably busy because their website is useless now for US bookings.

Have you tried the FVC number? I'll PM it you as I'm not sure it's generally published. You don't actually need to be a FVC member but it's supposed to give you call priority over everyone else.

They have changed over to the new system for US bookings. I tried (and failed miserably) to book online last night for SFO next New Year.

It offered me 4 hotels for San Francisco (none of which I really wanted), no VS flight upgrades, compulsory car hire or coach transfer - neither of which I want or need and changing from car hire to the coach transfer actually increased the total package cost!!

Thanks James, pm to you too.

It irritates me that, having just had me commit to giving them a chunk of my money, VH cannot, in return, give me a regular landline or freephone number or even an immediate response e-mail address. I realise, of course, that it is not just VH who operate this way, but in this case it is them causing the irritation!!! :(
