Hello all,
In a couple of months I will be flying upper on VS019. I've managed to grab seats 12A and 12K as will be travelling with my girlfriend.
My question is, in the A section of Upperclass, what do Virgin use that central area for? I've read elsewhere that this was the treatment are, however, as Virgin no longer offer treatments in flight what is it now used for?
Thanks in advance.
Regards

Ditto on the welcome!

it has been known for persons to stand there and chat and on one flight I was on the crew put a trolly there for a short time dring pre-boarding but otherwise it is just empty space.

BTW there is quite a distance between the A and K sides so no playing footsy with the GF possible.

Not quite sure that is correct - 12A/K on a config 4 747 are the same seats as 6A/K on a LGW/MAN (config 1 or 2) 747. These two seats are the best ones if you are travelling with your other half. Your ottoman footrests do just about touch each other & you are very close to each other.

Whatever happened to the talk about VS putting changing rooms where the IFBT stations used to be?

The 'spring' menu starts in March (it changes every three months in UC) so look out for it in early March once a member has been on a flight where it has been served and then posts it!

btw am not convinced about filling that space with a changing room - it would stop that part of the cabin being so open which is one of its attractions.

Ah I see. I look forward to enjoying the extra space then! I've only even flown UC on airbus, so the 747 layout is all new to me.
Thanks for info on menu launch date. I'll keep an eye out.

Agree the open space in the middle makes this an area which is light and airy, putting a changing room would close this area right in therefore losing the illusion of space.

cheers
