I have a work trip coming up to NJ and wanted to return on 9th March on VS 2 from Newark to Heathrow.

However I was told by the work travel group that there is no VS 2 sceduled for 9th March. Called VS and they confirmed that but didn't have a reason.

Is this light loads again? Isn't it a bit ealy to be pulling flights due to light loads though? The work travel team also told me BA are running as usual on that date and for PE are over £400 cheaper than VS.

I wonder if the pricing is why VS have light loads?

It's very normal for VS (and BA) to pull flights from the schedule with very low loads in the winter season, in fact, there've been a lot fewer this year than last. March 9th is only three weeks away too, so not sure when is to late.

On pricing, BA and VS usually price very close to each other, aside from how there can be a £400 difference between BA and a non-existent flight, the difference is probably due to take up of specific fare codes.

Good point - but the £400 difference applies on days that week when both VS & BA run flights.

I prefer VS every time, but £400 is £400 :-)
