I will be flying to San Francisco in summer this year and have now gone onto manage my booking and selected my seats. I will be checking in on-line 24 hours prior to departure and was wondering whether it is possible that more seats will be available and also whether the exit row seats will be available. This leads me onto my next question of do the exit row seats cost in PE and if so how much?

Hello,

60% of seats are available for pre-selection, the remaining 40% will be avaiable when OLCI opens.

You will need to ask for the exit row seats when you arrive at the airport.

I would suggest getting online as soon as OLCI opens, pick the best seats you can get, then ask about exit row seats when you arrive.

No, as far as i'm aware the exit rows are always allocated at the airport on the day of departure.

Quite a few of the TR on her indicate that people have been successful at getting exit row seats by getting to the airport early.

To avoid disappointment, I would suggest getting the best seat you can at OLCI.

Hope you get the seats you want.

Luke
Do the extra seats that come available for OLCI show on the seat selection of 'My booking' on the VA website or is it best to just do OLCI? I've only ever checked in at the airport?
Thanks

Hi Suzy,

That's correct, they do show at OLCI. Sometimes, they actually show prior to OLCI i.e. a few hours before the 24 hour point before the flight.

I'd always suggest checking a few hours before OLCI goes live for your flight to see what's opened up.

They are usually held back for families as they have sky cots.

Luke, you are confusing bulkhead rows with exit rows. Families with sky cots will NOT be in exit rows as they have to be kept clear and also the occupants of the row must be in a position to help in the case of an emergency.
