Hi..
Have booked a cruise & stay next Feb with Virgin, flying Virgin Atlantic to Orlando on 1st Feb 2012.
Will I be able to reserve seats on the plane (I realise these are not set in stone, and can be changed)..I keep entering my Virgin booking reference, but the Virgin Atlantic website tells me it doesn't recognise the reference number..I am too early, or do I need a different reference number.
Thanks in advance.

If you go to manage your flights on the VS site, fill in the required details, your name and VH booking reference, do you get:

Sorry, we were unable to retrieve your booking. Please check the details you gave us below and let us know the flight number and departure date of the flight and try again?

If so, fill in the required extra info (date and flight number) then click on retrieve booking and you should get in.

If you do get in, on the first page you get to you will find your VS PNR in the top right corner. From then use that to avoid having to submit information twice each time.

The booking ref I have is 3 numbers/W11.

HWVlover - That is the message I get, and after entering the further details of the flight no. and date of travel, I still get the same message.

It could be because the travel agent (even VH or V cruises) have yet to send VS your details.

Another issue might be if you have a middle name - these often get merged when being transfered from the travel agent to VS even though you initially entered them in seperate fields.

So if your name is Mary Rosemary Smith try Maryrosemary

Perhaps a glitch somewhere - interestingly my VH booking reference has 5 numbers before the season(S11) but perhaps the system has changed? Maybe speak to VH about it. And to answer your other question, when you can access VS you will be able to "reserve" your seats.

Hi

When I booked with VH in one of their stores I asked them for the PNR which is printed separately from the booking ref. My first and middle names were merged on the VS system.

However I think if you're able to log on to the VH system you might be able to access your flight PNR code.
