Hi all,
First post on V-Flyer. I've been reading for years, but yesterday booked my first ever flight on Virgin! I am flying on VS22 (IAD-LHR) in UC, and I have a question about using the Revivals lounge as a transfer passenger (connecting to a Thai Airways flight to Bangkok.)
From what I can tell, both airlines operate out of T3, so in theory I don't have to clear customs or immigration, if VS will check my bags through, just have to transfer to the departure area when I arrive. However, as I have 5 hours between flights, I'd like to spend some time in Revivals, as well as whatever the C lounge is for TG (SAS/London Lounge?)
Does this mean that I need to ask VS to only check my bags as far as LHR, claim and clear customs/immigration in London, go to Revivals, and then re-check in with TG?
This seems like a pretty routine procedure, am I over-thinking it?? Will the customs officer look at me like I'm crazy when I say I'm going to be "in the country" for all of about 4 hours, just so I can get a shower and breakfast after my overnight flight?
Very excited to try Virgin and UC, will try to take some good notes/pictures for a TR!
