Managed to get our first UC flight to LAX next year :D and we have decided to drive up the night before and stay over.

Can anyone recommend a good hotel that also has parking (17 nights).

Not sure we really want to mess with parking elsewhere and then trekking to the hotel, unless you can tell us its really worth it.

Thanks in advance

Hi

Depends on budget...

Last time we stayed overnight at LHR (pre-toddler - now the extra night in a hotel is too much hassle) we did "undercover 4* hotel only" (with holiday extras - last time we got the Holiday Inn at the M4 junction) PLUS seperate "meet and greet" parking with Purple Parking (I have a discount code, could PM you, that tends to make the parkign turn out to be about £80ish for 17 days).

So we stayed the night at the hotel (might have paid for one night's parking there, can't remember), the next morning we drove to T3 and handed the car over to Purple Parking (no hassle with luggage and shuttle buses). When we returned, the car was delivered to the terminal (again no hassle getting shuttles etc) and we drove straight home. A bit more expensive, but very convenient...

We have stayed at the marriott on bath road twice. Not the cheapest option but a lovely hotel. We paid £150 including 15 days parking, we were away a bit longer than the 15 days and were charged a couple of pound extra per day for the over stay. As a treat I got one of the Marriott town car's to take us to terminal 3.

As others have said, holidayextras is often a great source, especialy the mystery hotel.

You can also try the websites of the chains that are represented on the Bath Road and look for park'n'fly deals, that are usually on there. Be aware though on these sites, such as SPG.com and Marriott.com, the prices quoted for London area hotels are always ex-VAT n( n(

I agree with this method; the Hoppa bus costs a fortune particularly if there is a group. Purple Parking via VA site nets a few FC miles as well. Overnight parking rates are usually about £12.

if i stay in a LHR area hotel i refuse to use the hotel hopper most of the hotels are on the London transport bus routes and these have a maximum cash fare of around £1.20 and are free until the Harlington Corner junction on Bath Rd (outside Holiday inn/Ibis/Mcdonnalds)
