I have a family looking to take their severely handicapped 6 year old daughter to Disney World and have recommended they fly VS MAN/MCO. She is completely immobile. The VS website does not provide a lot of information about the Travel Chairs that are available so I am trying to get a clear picture of how they work, get any comments (both positive and negative) from passenger and flight crew who have had first hand experience of operating this equipment. The family would be prepared to travel to be able to view and try out a travel chair should VS be able to make one available at one of their UK airports or centres. Is the 747 or new A330 better for accommodatin travel chairs? and does either plane type offer better toilet facilities for disbled passengers who will need parental assistance in this regard. Any help appreciated.
Your first port of call should be the VS special Assistance Department
