Hi all, currently waiting for VS016 and making use of the free wifi access and an A340 has just pulled up at gate 86. Never seen one of them here and never heard of them on an MCO route. Looking at the site it looks like it could be VS005 to MIA as it was Madame Butterfly. Anyone shed any light on why it was here? It only parked up for about 15 mins then took off again. Thanks all. Boarding now!

Yes, it was G-VSHY operating the VS5 - MIA must have been temporarily closed due to weather (most like storms) in the area so it will have landed in MCO until it re-opened.

Things like this do tend to happen during the summer months when the Florida T-Storms can be bad.

there have been some pretty big storms of late, funny enough we live on the west side of I75 and for some weird reason the rain wont cross it !! we are meant to have had 5 inches of rain during June so far - and have had none !! sounds good but it means everywhere is so dry we keep getting bush fires .22 alone last Thursday in our county with one getting within a mile of our home. i was just packing an emergency bag getting ready to evacuate (dogs and all) but lucky the winds kept it away.
so if you do get disruption due to a storm -please bear in mind it is having some positive effect !

Yeh a 346 was in last week as well when I was on my way back (TR to follow)- again due to weather in MCO. Still very impressive to drive in along Boggy Creek Road and see two VS 744s, a 330 and a 346 all parked up in a line at airside 4- almost thought I was at LGW!!

IB where also in with a 346 as was Air Pullmantur doing MAD-MIA (a spotting that I got rather excited about).
