I have booked a trip to Antigua with my 11 year old daughter and her school friend for December. All travelling Economy this time, which will be a shock to the system, but the best choice for us this time. Have booked through Virgin Holidays, by phone to get Frequent Virgin discount - have done this before with no problem.
Problem is that the names on the booking (incorrect reference given, so it has taken me a while to track down) show first and middle name combined. Whilst these do appear on our passport, they are not together there, and my daughter has a second middle name which does not appear on the ticket booking.
Furthermore, when I try to book her a child's meal - it does not come up in the list of options. In the past, I think that her age has also appeared on the booking, not sure why it doesn't this time.
We have booked VH many times before, and I also book all our own flights online, too, and this seems different this time. Any ideas?
I have to add the friend to the booking now and I am wondering whether it will all get changed at this stage anyway?

Hi
My booking is exactly the same,my first and middle name are shown combined,i called Virgin Atlantic reservations to do a name change and they assured me its only because when they imput the booking process they dont have a seperate box to imput your middle name and that this will not cause a problem...hope this helps,if unsure call reservations just to clarify..Happy Holidays

I'm pretty sure that it is the first and last names that matter.

I have travelled as Stephen, Stephen R, StephenR, Stephenrobert with no problems.

Which since my name is Cuthbert is puzzling!

Our 1st and 2nd names are joined together as well, we are with VH, have to put them in joined to get manage my booking as well. Shouldn't be a problem.

I booked a while ago and the first & second names were also joined together. However, we received the travel docs. incl. e-ticket etc. and the names were spaced so no issues.
