Hi All,

Can anyone tell me if the new or old style PE seats on LGW to ANU. It is my understanding all the LGW/MAN fleet have the old seats. I did read somewhere however that flights to BGI have the new seats and as we go via there on route thought this might be the case. I have selected seats in the bubble which I guess means old seats.

Any ideas?

Yes, PE seats in the bubble will mean a LGW/MAN 747 is due to operate your flight, which are the older style PE seats.

Everyone has their own opinion guess. They are cloth not leather, and have lost some of their padding, plus the headrest are pretty rubbish compared to the new leather seats. They are still comfy and the legroom is excellent.

On the other hand, the cabin offers a lot more space, with loads of storage and room around the seat and the bubble is a really great cabin and environment to enjoy the flight.

The IFE isn't very good when compared to V-Port or JAM, but there is still a good choice of films, and with things like iPads it doesn't bother me really.

As I said on a similar thread some people like the purple leather and some prefer the cloth. Mind some don't really care either way !

The 'problem' with the leather seats on the A330 is that they are still new and so havn't been broken in yet so the leather is still a tad hard. I think that is the main complaint at present. Once a few more bums have occupied them they will soon soften.

Worst thing about the cloth seats is if the person in front reclines you cannot see the tv... Not that I'm tall, but that was certainly my experience last time in the bubble in PE the tv does not angle out enough even if you recline fully yourself. Perhaps this is not the case in all the PE seats and I was just unlucky?
