Hi All

I have a booking on the VS10, connecting from a JetBlue flight from Tampa. The connection time was a comfortable 2 hours on booking.

Yesterday I got a message from VS on the Manage Booking page which asked them to call me urgently. The VS10 is now departing 10 minutes earlier and I only have 1h 45m connection time. Do you think this is rather a risky connection?

Thanks, James

Baggage with jetBlue at JFK is utterly rubbish to the point where despite being excellent in the air I refuse to fly them in to JFK anymore.

With two hours you would be tight so earlier makes it worse. Can you move your jetBlue flight?

i just got in on 010 this morning. I connected with a JB from Fort Myers which was scheduled in at JFK at 2035 and I deplaned at 21.30 !!! made it but it was fun BUT that was with hand luggage only.

TR to follow including the near fight on the JB flight !

I read on another thread (connecting from a VS arrival though) that there is an interline agreement between Jet Blue and VS so try and get your bags checked through to LHR at your departure airport which will save you time in collecting them.

You arrival into JFK will be domestic so no imigration queues to hold you up so it's straight from T5 to T4.

Thanks folks, should have said it's all on one PNR so if we do check a bag (might well be hand luggage only) then it'll be interlined to LHR.

We're more concerned about physically getting ourselves from the aircraft at T5 to aircraft at T4, assuming we'll have to collect VS boarding passes at T4 check-in a minumum of 60 minutes before.

I guess if the worst comes and we miss the VS10, we are all on one PNR so VS will have to put us up for the night and re-accomodate us on the next flight?

If your bags are interlined and the aircraft is on time you have plenty of time to make it. The other alternative is to print your boarding passes and then go straight to security.
