Confusion with PE seating

I have been 'lingering' here for quite a while and have already gathered a lot of very useful information. Many thanks..

I have a query that I haven't been able to find an answer to through the search option.

I am travelling PE LGW-BGI soon and have logged into manage my booking to select my seats. The seat configuration plan for my flight is number 4. Unfortunately there were only 6 PE seats available to select and they are in the group of 4 Anyway, I have chosen them but would love to change them.

Looking through the tool box here at Configuration 4 I have become a little confused. The seat plan shows the second section of the Bubble in the lightest colour which according to the Key is EC (rows 75-80) - but on the left there is a list of Best PE seats and they include seats in rows 75-80. So are these PE seats or EC seats? - they are in the 3-3 configuration

Ideally if there are PE seats in the Bubble then I'd like to have one of them.

My second question is this: When I do on-line check-in do they open up more seats for selection so that I can hope to move my nasty ones in a group of 4 to something I'd prefer (ie in the bubble or in a group of 2)?

I was hoping to be able to change my selected seats during OLCI , if this is not possible I guess I can accept them and maybe just go to the check-in desk on the day to see if they can be changed....any thoughts?

Hi and welcome to V-Flyer

The configuration you describe is that of a LHR configured aircraft which sometimes does the BGI run. There are no PE seats in the bubble in this config and they are economy seats

You can change your seats at OLCI. The option is there after you have checked in but sometimes it is useful to look before OLCI opens in case more seats are released

As Honey Lamb oo) oo) says check frequently as things do change. I've known V-Flyers to keep checking because they want to request ceratin seats & they have been lucky.

Many thanks. This is what I was planning on doing hoping that more seats become available.

As I have booked with a TA I cannot upgrade directly with VS (have to go via TA) - I presume I can do this on the day of departure at the airport though subject to availability.
