Hello,

I have a another question.... :)

Virgin offer child seats on their AC, my son will be 2 years old when we travel, can we request one of these ?? (he is under the weight & height restrictions)

http://www.virgin-atlantic.com/en/us/pa ... /index.jsp

I have never seen these used before when travelling, (I have seen people using approved car seats though). From a safety perspective, I think this will be a really good idea to order one, plus it will help to keep him in the seat compared to the lap belt.

Can anyone confirm if these are forward facing or rear facing ? (For the IFE)

Is it something we should request??

Has anyone else seen these or used them ?

Thanks

Rick

The good lady HL is quite right; we used one (or, more accurately, our daughter did) a few years back. They're forward facing in UC but - I think - rear facing in PE and Y.

Hi Rick - just check that your little one is not over the weight and height restrictions which are a maximum weight of 44lbs (20kg) or a maximum height of 40in (100cm).

As you mention they are 2 years old - they would be too old for the lapstrap. They would also be positioned forward facing in the childseat as the backwards facing is for infants approx 1 and under so no issues at all to watch the IFE.

Thank you..

I will check his weight but I think he will be under the 44lbs / 20kg mark.

Its good that its forward facing too, I guess I will have to call Virgin to add this as I cant find it on the website to add as an extra.

Cheers

Rick

They can face forwards or backwards in ALL cabins - it depends on the age of the child.

Thank you - I guess I will have to call Virgin and request this as there is no mention online.

Thanks
