VS045 - Sat 21 Jan 2012

Received a text message over the weekend saying “We regret to advise VS0045 21JAN has been cancelled. You have been rebooked on VS0009”.
Checked “my booking” and flights have changed from VS45 at 1200 departure to VS9 at 1600 departure. Still got PE window seats . It’s not a big issue for me, just wondered if anybody knows what has happened to VS45, is this a permanent change to the Heathrow to JFK schedules or just a “one off” change?

Sounds like a case of light loads, happens during the quieter months,s o they just merge some flights.

Never knew Virgin did this. I would be most upset if they did this to our flights in may,the reason I always pick the VS045 flight to NY is because we just love to fly the 747-400, and I think they also charge a bit more for this being the 14.00 flight.
