Retail Therapy - Celebrating on board

Has anyone bought anything to surprise someone on a flight? Pondering surprising some friends who off to Oz with a bottle of fizzy stuff or something. They are flying in PE in one go, but assume they would get it on the SIN-SYD leg? Do Retail Therapy need to know all sorts of details like PNR or can they find it all from the dates and names?

Maybe I should order a few bottles of Grey Goose (Only £23) for the way back and meet them at LHR to take it off their hands instead. )

Sorry I should have been clearer. You cannot pre-order anything on ANY of the four LHR-HKG-SYD-HKG-LHR sectors.
