Hi all,
Need some of the expert advice that hangs around here.
Due to my companies change is travel policy to the East Coast US I will be taking my first business trip in PE on Sunday afternoon :(!
No VS car means I have to get myself to Heathrow and back. I did think of using some miles for the car but at 12,000 odd miles each way it seems a bit pricey. I am going to drive and use one of the Business Car Parks at T3. Due Au holders get discounts on this? I think I read it somewhere in the past but can't locate it on the VS website.
Thanks

Purple Parking via VS website I literally booked it

5% for silver and I think you save more for Gold (think its 10%)

Log in on VS website click my account, then on left hand side flying club partners and then local partners and purple parking will link you to website, click dates and see what you get.... was more than 5% discount for me in all fairness well worth doing plus the extra miles :-)

It is now 17.5k miles for the car plus you can only do that if you are on a G reward ticket or upgraded to UC using miles.

Re the discount - you can get 10% discount with purple parking as per VS website - about 1/2 way down.

Of course other car services are available and may be cheaper even after the purple parking discount but people report good things re purple parking. (I dont drive so always get a taxi!)

I have never used them before... I did look around and everyone else was quoting double!

I would usually use tube (with my work I have my free travel after all), but wonder of being christmas eve trains end earlier that night and God forbid there were delays!!! (i dont want to be paying a cab at triple time home!) :?

The discount on purple parking is quite good, advertised as 10% for Golds, but has often taken more off.

Having only used the meet and greet service I can only comment on that, and in my experience it has been excellent, it's so easy to just get out in front of the terminal.

At least you still get use of the Clubhouse and Revivals (depending on time of return) even though you are in PE.

Thanks all,
The link on the VS page didn't seem to be working!!
I did get taken to a page which seems to show a new VS web layout, looking interesting. Perhaps a new web layout is on the way?
@Hamster - Yes. Thank god for that!!
I've booked via Purple as the cost was still less than Heathrow's own.
I will report my exp. back.
