Earning miles on Co

Does anyone know if miles can be earned on CO flights?

Flew Z class TPA-LAX in August, miles and tier points went on swiftly and without any prompting.

Make sure you keep your boarding card stubs from the flights, as these will be needed if you have to claim for missing miles.
This applies to nearly any flight..

This is fast becoming a grey area, because as I understand it there's no such thing as a CO flight anymore as they've merged under a single operating certificate with UA. So technically people are earning VS miles on UA.
