When & why did this route get canned?

Can you point to a source?

No longer listed on Virgin Atlantic website or Virgin Holidays website. Also no longer listed as a route from San Juan Airport on Wikipedia. Cannot find any articles relating a discontinuation...

yep no mention of it in the booking engine or the airport guides.

And the VS wiki page for 'Destinations' has it listed as 'Terminated'

Sounds like the loads weren't high enough after dropping off at Antigua to sustain the route.

Well now that I see that I can stop scratching my head, when Vancouver was announced as the 34th destination I was sure the numbers didn't add up, and forgot about Puerto Rico!

Operated 2009 and 2010 winters only before going the way of Nassau alas.
