Great that Virgin have enhanced the new booking webpages, I particularly like the new date selection graphics.

However there's a glaring bug when you come to pay. I selected my card type as the top option 'Virgin Atlantic Amex (+xx.xxGBP)' and on hitting continue it flagged that as an invalid card type! Selecting 'Amex (+xx.xxGBP)' worked fine without re-entering anything else.

So not only don't we get to avoid the credit card fee with the official VS card, but it rejects it too v(

Yep me too, I had that last week, couldn't understand why I was chucking my card out. ?|

The the box came up, asking if I was having a problem would I like someone to ring me back. Answered yes and they rang back within minutes and took my payment over the phone no problem :) but what a waste of time and money for VS having to ring customers unnecessarily v(

If it's been like that for months, that's poor -

"get our credit card",
"book flights with us",
"oops, we can't accept our credit card online when booking flights with us nless you selct the other Amex option".

Dear me!

Nor do you get the FC miles with a debit card.

The FC miles is the only reason I have the VS amex at all....so if they make it harder to use it online, why bother?

(Ok, a lot of my bookings are by phone using some miles for upgrades etc, but all the same, it's a bad show really).
