Hi,
Have just tried to check in for flight tomorrow morning VS005 to Miami. I went right trough the check in process and then i get a message saying they can not check me in and i will have to check in at the airport tomorrow. I have reserved seats for me and my husband and wanted to make sure i checked in early to secure them.

Does anyone know a reason why they would not let me complete my check in online. Could i try checking in again or will i need to leave it until tomorrow.

Hi and welcome.

There are a few reasons why this could be, the most likely is just the system acting up, so give it an hour and try again. Also, rather than just using the OLCI option from the homepage, log in to your booking via the 'manage my booking' section of the VS site, and use the OLCI option from there.

Another reason could be there is someone with the same or very similar name that is on the 'watch list' and those pax aren't able to do OLCI for security reasons.

Similar thing happened to me a couple of years ago. My details were very similar to someone on a watch list and I had to check in at the airport. Frustrating as your chosen seats can sometimes be changed, but hope you get it sorted whatever the reason.
