A couple of points about travelling with children on Virgin, this is based on my recent experience on an A330 GLA-MCO and return.

Child Booster Seats
I noticed that the IFE screens can tilt upwards but not downwards. I'm 6 foot 2" and I didn't need the screen tilted upwards so who knows who does, however I noticed my 4yo struggled to see the screen at times. The website says that children get booster seats, I was expecting them to be already on the seat when we boarded but they didn't materialise (not that we asked CC.)

Children’s Menu
Our boys also ordered off the usual menu for their meal, which was a bit hit and miss for them. Again it was only afterwards I remembered I had marked them down as a kids meal but this didn't appear.

Children’s Drinks
The choice of drinks available was pure apple juice, pure orange juice, water or fizzy soft drinks. My boys are used to Ribena/blackcurrant diluted juice however we treated them to some Diet Coke. Big mistake. They were bouncing about the cabin hyper afterwards due to the caffeine. It would have been nice if VS offered Robinsons, Fruit Shoots or similar, especially as we are restricted to how much we can bring through security (I tried to get some in the airside shops before boarding.)

Constructive criticism! Obviously so important that it took me a week to remember about it. :|

Hi Fuzzy,

If you are referring to this section....

The Child Safety seat needs to be requested via the contact centre. Though I would imagine the Safety seat will be a little tight for a 4 y/o as it's not a booster seat (looks similar to a car seat)

I see your point about Ribena and other squashes, that was my favourite when I was a kid!
