Sometimes I wonder what's the point!
Had our seats requested since we booked in August, checked 2 days ago and all was still fine.
Checked in 30mins ago, just 15 mins after online check in opened for our flight home from Miami tomorrow and our seats have now been moved :( I wouldn't have minded if we had been moved and still next to each other but now we're ending our honeymoon with a 10 hour flight, sat rows apart and the seat map isn't allowing me to change them because all seats are allocated grrr!

That is phenomenally irritating ... only advice is to check in at the airport early and see what they can do. Are you booked on the same ticket reference, because if so I am surprised you've been separated, if not there's a lesson for folk to ask VS to link your bookings so this doesn't happen.

Very frustrating and annoying v( I know all seats are requested but to split you up n(
As Slinks says, get to the airport early and explain the circumstances as more often than not there will be no problem sorting it out! BA did this to my friends and I on our return from IAH in January but they sat a 6 year old on their on v( v( Got that one sorted :D

good luck and have a great trip home!

I flew to MIA a week ago and had the same issue. Checked literally every day to get new seats and loads appeared about 5 hours before OLCI opened so don't panic, I'm sure you'll be able to move them.

Erm, snickr, it was at OLCI when the seats changed and he was unable to change them

Hoping they will sort it out at the airport or I'll be very p!ssed off!
We're on different booking ref's due to using miles for combi fare but they are linked.

Problem is there don't seem to be many PE seats on the MIA flight, I just don't get why at OLCI our seats were changed when they had been fine for the past 9 months, had this trouble previously flying back from JFK but sat in Econ.

Sorry to hear this Bear -- on your honeymoon too. I bet the different PNRs will be the culprit.

You ask why they were changed -- well, there are two sides to every story. I'll bet that somewhere there will be a family or group who will have been pleased to have been sat together. Scant consolation, I know.
