VS085 MAN-LAS 27th May 2012

Hello All,

I am a newbie to all of this so please forgive me asking what may seem a daft question.
My wife and I are due to fly out next Sunday in PE on VS085 MAN-LAS and we are not able to pre-book our seats as I understand due to the refits that are taking place.
However, are there any tips other users can offer to help me secure a seat in the bubble as a first timer. ?|

Welcome to V-Flyer.

There are lots of threads about the seat request problems - best advice I have seen is do OLCI as early as you can.

It is supposed to open 24 hours before your flight, but there have been reports of it opening earlier on some flights.

As Nick says OLCI is the best way to secure seats but it is worth knowing that a few hours before OLCI opens VS have released seats for request. Do this and then secure your seats at OLCI

Hi, welcome to V Flyer.
We did this same flight on Sunday 13th May. Our seat map opened on the previous Friday afternoon and we saw that we had been allocated 2 seats in the bubble, so we were happy with that. We completed OLCI but when we got to the airport, we asked the check in agent if we could have 75H and K, the exit row seats. These are only released for allocation at the airport and we were given these seats instead. So, if you are not in the bubble when seats are allocated and can't change them at OLCI all is not lost. Just ask at the airport for row 75 and hopefully you will get them.
